**GAME OF THE WEEK**
Yahoo Projected Points: Cleveland Steamers: 113 vs Gentle Turtles: 107
The Cleveland Steamers who have ascended to the top of the UAL Power Rankings after their dominating Week 1 performance look to deliver the defending UAL champions their first loss since Dec 7, 2009. When asked if the Gentle Turtles were worried about The Cleveland Steamers, The Gentle Turtles head coached responded, “We don’t give two shits about what some damn Super Computer 3000 has ranked any team that’s name idolizes shit. The Steamers are shit and we are gonna wallow all up in their shit come Sunday. We are the defending champs, can you not see my Super Bowl ring biotch?!”
This weeks **Game of the Week** is a must watch as it will be an extremely hard fought battle and the team that really wants it the most will prevail. I am going to go ahead and give the slight edge to The Gentle Turtles this week as the Cleveland Steamers have some very tough Week 2 matchups and Steven Jackson has been under projected for his matchup with the Oakland Raiders.
The Bedwetters (OPR 5) vs. Slowskies (OPR 6)
Yahoo Projected Points: The Bedwetters: 118 vs. The Slowskies: 119
The Bedwetters and The Slowskies began the year on polar opposite sides of the UAL Official Power Rankings. However, they are now neck and neck in the OPR, and poised for an old-fashioned shoot out. Both the Bedwetters and The Slowskies have some salivating Week 2 matchups and both managers are anticipating big point totals this week.
The Slowskies added an unprecedented third QB to their roster when they signed Michael Vick. Even though this move is unorthodox to say the least, it doesn’t surprise us here at the Fantasy Football Free Press because it has been well documented that The Slowskies are huge Eagles homers as well as puppy haters. Vick might be the difference for the Slowskies this week as he takes on the Detroit Lions, but will the loss at WR deep cost The Slowskies future games? Only time will tell.
Breaston Plants (OPR 8) vs. Schul (OPR 4)
Yahoo Projected Points: Breaston Plants: 123 vs. Schul: 104
Even though Shul specializes in psyching out his opponents and getting them to start undrafted players over drafted players, The Breaston Plants made too many mistakes last week and are dedicated to not rehashing their erroneous ways as well. Despite Shul’s higher OPR look for the Breaston Plants to roll this week and win by at least 20 points.
Weiner (OPR 7) vs. Karma Wheel (OPR 12)
Yahoo Projected Points: Weiner: 103 vs. Karma Wheel: 115
Some big changes for Big Ry this week as the organization not only made a blockbuster trade but also changed the name of their fantasy football team. Karma Wheel moved Greg Jennings in order to gain Brandon Jackson as they might have been pressing the red alert button on their poor RB performance in Week 1. Brandon Jackson has a very juicy matchup versus the Bills this week and will carry the load for Karma Wheel as they likely roll over Weiner this week. For the time being Karma Wheel’s new leaf appears quite green and bountiful. However, Karma Wheel certainly rolled the dice early this season and don’t be surprised if after hitting a couple early points they crap out when it matters most.
Bear Jews (OPR 9) vs. Clever Team Name (OPR 11)
Yahoo Projected Points: Bear Jews: 111 vs. Clever Team Name: 123
The Bear Jews management fought hard this off-season to try to turn their wayward program and terrible luck around. They ran off their racist sponsor and changed their team name; they began volunteering at the School For Kids Who Cant Read Good and Stuff. They even began going to temple and praying for better luck in 2010, MALZATOV! However, it appears that the Karma Gods aren’t Jewish and have struck with an even mightier wrath once again this year. Week 1 blew for the Bear Jews as they lost their 2nd overall pick for the season, missed out on Brandon Jackson, got snowed in trade deals by Ricky’s Blunt Forces, and the one bright spot on the Bear Jews squad (Hakeem Nicks who put up 30 pts in Week 1), looks to be out for Week 2. Clever Team Name rolls this week and looks to get their bus going the right direction once again.
Ricky’s Blunt Forces (OPR 2) vs. Drinking a Forte (OPR 10)
Yahoo Projected Points: Ricky’s Blunt Forces: 123 vs. Drinking a Forte: 109
Ricky’s Blunt Forces made a big leap this week in the UAL Official Power Rankings as they jumped from 9th place to 2nd, and this was before they even traded for Greg Jennings. Due to having the #1 waiver priority, Ricky’s Blunt Forces was able to essentially turn a free agent pickup into an elite receiver. If Ricky’s Blunt Forces are able to take care of business versus Drinking a Forte, and their young RBs continue to look good, look for RBF to be atop the UAL Power Rankings next week. Drinking a Forte will need a monster game from McCoy vs the Lions in Week 2, and will need Randy Moss to figure out some way to sail off of Revis Island as well.
Best of luck to everyone in Week 2. GO CATS!!!!!!
Cheers,
