Float Em or Flush Em: Week 2 by Turd Ferguson

Float em or flush em will go through each squad to identify an unheralded player who should start for the week or a player that needs to ride the pine.

The Slowskies:
Flush em: Donovan McNabb - McNabb looked good in week 1, but the box score does not prove this. While McNabb looked good as an individual, the Redskins offense was not effective enough to get in the end zone. McNabb may be facing an even tougher D-line this week when Houston rolls in to town. Expect McNabb to be pressured all night and finish with a sub par performance.

Drinking a Forte:
Flush em: Randy Moss - Moss is a great receiver, so he will get a few catches, but they will come few and far between as he visits Revis Island. Expect the Jets to match Revis on Moss, opening up the field for other Patriot receivers.

Schul:
Float em: Carnell “Cadillac” Williams - Cadillac proved in week 1 that he will be the workhorse back for the Bucs this year, at least until he gets injured. Cleveland ranked in the bottom third in rushing yards allowed per game. Expect a quality performance from Cadillac.

Clever Team Name:
Flush em: Michael Crabtree - Alex Smith has said he had ‘communication issues’ in the 49ers week 1 loss to Seattle. Truth be told, Smith is just a terrible QB. New Orleans was able to contain Brett Favre last week, expect them to do the same to Smith, therefore limiting the passing yards/completions available for Crabtree.

Big Ry:
Flush em: Shonn Greene - With Greene having a bad case of fumble-itis in week 1, LT took over and performed well. Expect LT to remain the featured back for the Jets with Greene coming in as a change of pace.

Ricky’s blunt force:
Float em: Brandon Jackson - Ryan Grant is out for the rest of the season. That leaves Jackson as the Packers primary back. Anticipate the Packers trading for another back in the coming weeks, but until then, Jackson is a good play.

The Bedwetters:
Float em: Malcom Floyd - Floyd struggled to keep his footing in the rain week 1 versus the Chiefs. Though Floyd only finished with 3 catches for 48 yards, he was targeted many more times. Expect Floyd to enjoy the home field advantage with a big week.

Weiner:
Float em: Ahmad Bradshaw - The Colts got thrashed by the run last week. Either the Texans have a dominant run game, or the Colts have some holes on D. Expect the Giants to follow the Texans lead and run the ball down the Colts throat. Bradshaw should stack up the yards this week. While a good play, be wary Jacobs vulturing the goal line touches.

Gentle Turtles:
Flush em: Ronnie Brown - The Williams wall is hungry and will look to swallow up the Dolphins running game. Do not expect big numbers from Brown versus a great run stopping Vikings D at home.

The Bear Jews:
Flush em: Devin Aromashodu - The Cowboys were able to limit the Redskins passing game. Look for them to do the same to the Bears. There will not be enough completions/yards by the Bears to warrant starting their third wideout.

Breaston Plants:
Flush em: Clinton Portis: Portis is a little banged up with a bad wrist, so look for the Redskins to try and lighten his load a little bit. Also, the Texans only allowed 44 total rushing yards last week. Granted The Texans were playing a pass first offense, but I still do not expect the floodgates to open for Portis.

Cleveland Steamers:
Float em: Mike Williams - Williams proved to be the go to receiver in Tampa Bay. Expect Williams to get his opportunities against a Defense that allowed 3 passing touchdowns in week 1.

Thats it for Week 2.  I better get to bed because I have Cub Scouts at 7 am.
